Story

Anna garu [Mohan Babu] is the strongest man in Rayalaseema and fights for people. His work is to settle disputes between people who approach him and he asks for respect rather than money. Anna is against Nandanavanam project as 30 to 40 villages vanish because of the project.

Opponents of Anna want to construct this project so that they can amass huge money with this. As they are weak infront of Anna, they exploit weakness of Anna and so woo his family members.

How Anna handles the situation and can he stop the Nandanavanam project forms the rest of the story.

Analysis :

If you have seen Godfather, Sarkar and Sarkar Raj movies, then one can easily relate Rowdy to them. It is a true adoption of those movies and offers nothing new in the story. The first half is decent and though interval bang is good, its placement did not fit properly. The second half lacks the soul and is routine. The climax should have been better. However, with short run time of two hours, the movie won't bore the audience.

Performance :

Mohan Babu is perfect for the role. He played a different role for the first time in his career and he is showstopper too. Manchu Vishnu character resembles Abhishek Bachchan role in Sarkar and he did a good job. Shanvi is wasted while Jayasudha was confined to sentimental scenes.

Final Word: Rowdy Telugu Movie Review Combination of Sarkar and Sarkar Raj in Telugu, strictly one timer but if you have both the Sarkar movies, give a skip.
