Pavithra Review

- Film : Pavithra
- Producer : Sadhak Kumar and G.Maheswara Reddy
- Director : Janardan Maharshi
- Star Cast : Shriya Saran, Sai Kumar...
- Music Director : MM Srilekha
- Rating :
The
movie is about a prostitute who was abused by a political leader. The
title role is played by Shriya Saran. As per the subject
Pavithra Movie Review should show

5.0 but taking its appeal to the audience in to consideration it is shown as

2.5.
The movie is a message oriented one. In order to make the massage clear
and to strike to heart, a story is woven around a prostitute who
defeats the very political leaders who abuse her.

Story
Shriya
with no other avenues to earn becomes a prostitute to save her mother
who was ailing from a disease that was life threatening. After taking up
debauching as her profession she encounters varieties of paramour-
politicians, swamis and a photographer lover boy who exploits models
among them. A twist in the story comes when the son of the politician
who was sent to Shriya on a political purpose falls flat in love with
Shriya and whether he marries her and whether Shriya succeeds in her
endeavor after entering politics is something to be seen on the screen.
Analysis :

Dialogues
are powerful as expected from Janardan Maharshi and equally powerful
delivery by Sai Kumar as it can be expected from a 'Dialogue King'.
Shriya’s action is good enough for the theme role she enacted.
Brahmanandam’s role is good but not as humorous as it should be compared
to other movies. Although some scenes like dialogue between Shriya and
Shivaji were dull, over all movies is successful in conveying the
message that is useful to the society with adequate entertainment
embedded in the story telling.
Performance :

Shriya
acted very well and supporting actors did their share of justice to the
story. Barring some dull scenes the movie ran smoothly with good
dialogues and humor particularly when Shriya contests for the elections
and concluding part is good. The scenes of Shriya’s love making as a
professional were shown in black and white to reduce its intensity as an
experiment that did go well. The compelling incidents to make Shriya as
a prostitute are convincingly told.
Final Word: Pavithra Movie Review A must see movie not for the skin show of Shriya but for the story with a good message. Shriya's glamour of course is a bonus.
