Story
Story revolves between Thomas (Gautam Karthik), an orphan who will be brought up by the fishermen community. Story revolves between Thomas (Gautam Karthik), an orphan who will be brought up by the fishermen community. How he will be brought up and what all he will do to earn his bread will be the backdrop of the movie. He falls in love with Beatrice. How Thomas will win the love of Beatrice. What will happen to Thomas? Will Thomas and Beatrice meet at the end, forms the remaining part of the movie.Analysis :
Mani Ratnam's direction and tight screenplay are the real assets to the movie. Nonetheless, without AR Rahman's magical tough to the movie, the love story would have become incomplete. Rahman musical will surely make you fall in love with the Beatrice (if you are a man) and Thoman (if you are a woman).Cinematography by Rajiv Menon worked wonders for the movie. It's not an easy task to show the exact life at the sea shores. One would never get a feeling that they are watching the scenes through camera lens, thanks to Mr Menon for outstanding cinematography. Some violent scenes and lip lock between Gautam and Thulasi make it weird to watch the movie with family.
The script of the movie-Jeyamohan- is also very tight. One who likes to watch social issues on big screen would also enjoy the movie. Kadali is surely going to go places and will be adding up another feather in the cap of Mani Ratnam.
Performance :
Gautam Karthik was okay. Although he looked very young, his acting was good. Thulasi Nair did her best and she never made anyone feel like she was a debutant actor. Arvind Swamy lived up to the expectations as a Church father. Lakshmi Manchu and Arjun were okay.Final Word: Kadali Review Must watch!
